Local wild animals and their habitat under intense pressure

Despite daily threats of extinction , several endangered wild animals manage to occupy and breed in one small local habitat; by virtue of their quick footedness and brilliant use of space? The first trophic level of food supply is maintained by regular wheel spin, most notably by one Jock fellow ( been good week this week ). The intelligence of these animals, at the bottom of the site food chain, is quite remarkable .
Their survival is currently protected, to some degree, by a diverse range of heavy hot blooded combustion ruminants. However these normally helpful habitat elements present acute danger and survival threats when a symbiosis with leadfooted bipeds is operational. The key ecosystem niche protection factors are 180mm horizontal control gates between them and the predators!
You try and catch one!
